I still haven't got my criminal tenant evicted yet. The constable is expected to be out tomorrow to do the lock out. I've not added everything up, but it has cost me over $1k so far. Lessoned learned, the system is skewed in the favor of criminal tenants here.
I have been looking into storage for a least a small apartment of stuff. So I had a quote from Pods.com for a container, buy it's way over budget. So, I'll be checking out a local container storage company here which I've used previously today.
I had called a property management agent this past week and they will be out to day at 10am. I don't understand this too much, but he needs to get an idea on how much the rental property can rent for.

Move update 10/10/2015
I have been gathering information, and formulating a plan for the move back to live in Silicon Valley again. I think that the January time frame is a very good set point, if I can keep everything on track. I did try to get back on the road a while back and that only took a couple of months, but I have more stuff now to get rid of than before. It may seem to be a slow start but I have already made a significant dent in getting this accomplished. Having enough money is critical and with the current tenant and job situation this is daunting. There are many question that have to be answered, like "What are you going to do with your home?" Well for that one, I plan to keep it and have it rented out and possibly return when I reached 65 in ten years. I will hopefully see a social security check by then if the world doesn't go up side down again. That is all for this week.

About This Journal
Ok, I want to say that I never really wanted to move away from Mountain View, California in the first place, but once I set things in motion there was no turning back. At the time of the Dot com bust, I had enough debt going that I was quickly getting to the bankruptcy point and would have more serious consequences than just packing up and moving on to greener pastures. This is why I choose Las Vegas back in 2002. It seen at the time to be a really good choice for many of us down on on our luck Californians.
Now after years of struggling with less and less income as well as other unforeseeable financially draining factors, I was pressed to find a way to restart again in a place where I had my best chance at a better life doing the work that was my forte, computer/electronics. An opportunity has come my way through the help of my brother to make this dream happen. This was presented to me during our weekly chat this past Sunday, and I've chosen not to pass it up as I have become quite desperate to plug the financial drain that I am experiencing while attempt to retain my real estate holding/investment. Renting rooms out in your home is a real money pit, so I need to stop and move on before I find myself living on the street.
This blog will help to journalize my process of getting back to California with little money left in the coffer. I'll be sure to include a photo or two from to time.
